About the Role

Contract Management

  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of security related activities, ensuring consistent delivery against agreed KPIs, SLAs, and compliance benchmarks.
  • Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and tendering processes.
  • Effectively coordinate with internal stakeholders and oversee the management of a workforce exceeding 100 personnel.
  • Monitor supplier performance through structured reviews, audits, and feedback mechanisms, driving continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Ensure all contracted services comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, and client’s internal governance frameworks.

Security Oversight

  • Collaborate with the Head of protective security to ensure contract deliverables support the broader security strategy and risk mitigation plans.
  • Enforce the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of physical and personnel security measures across critical infrastructure sites.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and compliance audits to verify contractor adherence to security protocols and operational standards.
  • Support with the development of Security Operations Controllers in alignment with client requirements and operational scope.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a key liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders including regulators and emergency services.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports, briefings, and risk assessments to senior leadership and governance boards.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration and proactive problem-solving.

Project Delivery

  • Lead the planning and execution of security upgrade and enhancement projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Coordinate with technical teams and external vendors to integrate innovative security technologies and systems.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, and change controls to ensure successful outcomes and minimal disruption to operations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in contract management within the security industry.
  • Strong understanding of manned security services including mobile, canine and static security
  • Knowledge of UK security regulations and risk management frameworks.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A military background or experience in a disciplined security environment is advantageous.
  • SIA Licence required.
  • Background in high profile security contract management.
  • Must be prepared to undertake FREC 3 and EUSR water hygiene training.
  • Valid UK Manual Driving Licence Essential
