We are seeking a talented and ambitious Contentious Probate Fee Earner to join our award-winning Private Wealth & Inheritance team. This role caters to all experience levels, offering the opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting and often complex matters, contributing to the strategic growth of our contentious probate offering.

The Opportunity

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of contentious probate matters, including disputes over wills, estates, trusts, and inheritance claims.
  • Advise clients on complex and sensitive issues, ensuring a compassionate and strategic approach.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments, including our litigation, family, and property teams, to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Build strong client relationships through clear communication and a personal touch.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, including networking and thought leadership.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and client-focused individual who has:

  • Experience in contentious probate, trust disputes, inheritance disputes, or related litigation work.
  • Strong technical knowledge of probate practice, trusts, and estate-related conflict resolution.
  • Excellent client care skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy.
  • Proven ability to manage a busy and complex caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Leadership experience or a desire to develop leadership capabilities within a growing team.
  • A STEP qualification or a willingness to work towards one (desirable but not essential).
