We are working with several high-achieving secondary schools across Northampton that are looking to appoint enthusiastic Computing Teachers from September 2025. These full-time opportunities offer both permanent and long-term contracts and are well-suited to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners alike.
Main Responsibilities:
Plan and teach engaging Computing lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the option of KS5 in some schools
Cover core topics such as programming (e.g. Python), algorithms, systems architecture, and digital literacy
Promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving through practical, tech-focused learning
Integrate digital tools and platforms to enhance student participation and achievement
Track student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to support learning outcomes
Collaborate with the department to develop a forward-thinking and relevant Computing curriculum
Get involved in extracurricular activities like coding clubs, esports teams, or STEM competitions
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Sound knowledge of the Computing curriculum and a passion for digital education
Ability to deliver inclusive and differentiated lessons to suit all learners
Strong classroom presence with excellent behaviour management skills
Committed to helping students develop practical skills for the digital world
A team player with a collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for whole-school involvement
Open to applications from both ECTs and experienced Computing teachers
