Compliance Officer - Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd : Job Details

We are currently partnering with a highly reputable organisation based in London, to help recruit a Compliance Officer to join them on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with compliance experience in the insurance sector who thrives in a professional, high-quality environment and is looking to make a real impact!

Duties will include:

• Supporting the company’s compliance framework, ensuring regulatory obligations are met and best practices are embedded across the business
• Assisting in the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of policies, procedures, and controls to ensure ongoing compliance with FCA and other relevant regulations
• Conducting regular monitoring activities, audits, and file reviews to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement
• Preparing compliance reports for management, summarising findings, risks, and recommended actions
• Working closely with underwriters, claims handlers, and other internal teams to ensure compliance considerations are embedded in daily operations
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date compliance records, registers, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of regulatory returns
• Supporting the delivery of compliance training to staff, promoting awareness of regulatory obligations and company standards

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven compliance experience within an insurance environment
• A good understanding of FCA regulations and risk management principles
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present compliance requirements in a clear and practical way
