Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Compliance Auditor to provide independent assurance across trade operations across East Anglia.
This role focuses on verifying compliance with operational procedures, legal standards, and internal controls related to stock and cash management, health and safety, and inventory accuracy. The successful candidate will contribute to risk mitigation and process improvement through thorough audits and investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify emerging risks and recommend cost-effective controls.
- Investigate and report instances of fraud, ensuring control weaknesses are addressed.
- Support ad-hoc projects aimed at improving business processes.
- Deliver targeted training sessions to promote compliance best practices.
Operational Audits
- Conduct inventory verifications to ensure accuracy and integrity of stock records.
- Perform compliance audits to assess control effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Carry out health and safety audits to ensure legal and procedural adherence.
- Lead investigations into allegations of fraud or misconduct with professionalism and discretion.
- Work closely with senior auditors to support cross-area audits.
- Maintain effective communication with depot and area managers.
- Provide timely and impartial reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Performance Indicators
- Completion of planned audits (inventory, compliance, health & safety).
- Continuous professional development and skill enhancement.
- Achievement of personal development goals.
- Positive feedback from management and audit quality surveys.
Job Scope
- Field-based role covering a designated number of depots across East Anglia
- Attendance at area and regional meetings to present compliance updates.
- No direct reports.
