£27,397 per annum, 37 hours per week

About the role…

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Support Officer (Leisure and Economic Development) to support with the delivery of the district’s playing Pitch strategy and to assist the Economic Development Lead Officer with project support and interventions to help the development of a vibrant local economy.

The successful candidate will have a passion for community engagement, a strong understanding of council priorities, and a commitment to supporting the residents of Cotswold District Council. Together, we will help the Council to achieve its corporate priorities and we will be helping residents to achieve their health and wellbeing goals.

This is a replacement role covering the Cotswolds, famous for quintessentially English market towns and villages built from honey-coloured stone. With a range of gently rolling hills and the largest area of outstanding natural beauty in England making it a perfect base for walking and cycling, you will have this right on your doorstep.  With our agile working ethos: you will be spoilt for choice.

You will need…

  • Experience in community engagement
  • Experience in project management
  • Confidence and experience in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including motivation, negotiation, persuasion, diplomacy and reassurance
  • A minimum of 5 qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 2 or GCSE at Grade C/4 or above, must include Maths and English

Special Conditions…

  • Ability to travel with access to a car to be used for work purposes
  • Full UK Driving License
  • There may be a requirement to work at other Publica Group (Support) Ltd and/or client locations to meet the needs of the business
  • You will be expected to work reasonable additional hours in line with the needs of the service
  • DBS Check
