Communications Officer - Circle Recruitment : Job Details

Role: Communications OfficerSalary/Rate: £142 per day Location: hybrid multiple locationsContract Duration: 4 months

We are currently looking for a Communications Officer for our government client. This Communications Officer role is hybrid, based between 3 days per week on site and the remainder of the week working remotely. Office locations include Bristol or Nottingham, as preferred.

The contract for the Communications Officer position is for 4-months with potential to extend, operating inside IR35.

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Essential skills/experience required:

• Strong working knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and intranet content creation is essential.
• This position is task-driven, with no requirement for strategic planning or communications strategy development.
• It's ideal for someone who enjoys writing and has hands-on experience in internal communications.
• The role does not involve higher-level stakeholder engagement or HEO-level responsibilities.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Plan, write, and edit content for a range of internal channels, including newsletters, bulletins, and the intranet
• Cover live events and convert them into compelling write-ups
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to collect stories, quotes, and images
• Publish content to the staff intranet and ensure it remains up to date and relevant
• Provide ad hoc writing support across various teams and departments
• Assist the internal communications team in delivering clear, consistent messaging aligned with project goals and organisational values
• Ensure internal initiatives and projects are effectively communicated to staff and stakeholders
• Develop internal communication plans in response to briefs
