A talented and enthusiastic individual is required to provide communications and digital marketing support to a rapidly growing international law firm on a maternity cover contract for a period of up to 12 months.The role holder will be joining a leading law firm who provide legal, corporate and fiduciary services to global corporations, financial institutions, capital market participants and investment fund managers. The firm now require a Communications & Digital Marketing Manager for Europe to join a dynamic global Marketing, Business Development and Communications department. Reporting to the Global Head of Communications, this will be a key role supporting the London, Ireland, Guernsey and Jersey offices to enhance the firm’s voice and profile across Europe. You will help to bring the firm’s brand and market positioning to life, showcasing what they do, their market insights and what makes them stand apart from their competitors. You will help the firm to communicate in a clear and engaging way to internal and external audiences. With supervision and development responsibility for the communications work of a Business Development and Communications Assistant, you will manage a busy programme of communications activities for the Europe region, including advisories, press announcements, LinkedIn posts, articles, thought leadership and deal updates for the offices and practice groups and will work with the Marketing & Business Development team to maintain collateral and create timely and impactful business topic centred campaigns that showcase the firm’s offerings with key audiences and target markets. Developing relationships with local media and keeping abreast of market issues and opportunities, the successful applicant’s key duties will include the execution of profile raising communications and digital marketing campaigns; website and social media content planning, supporting colleagues on Legal Directory and Awards submissions and rankings; managing the firm's recording of podcasts and film production; and supporting on real time responses to reputation and crisis management issues across Europe. Training and educating lawyers and other fee earners on dealing with the media, public speaking, LinkedIn and writing with impact for marketing and business development will also represent an important area of focus.

You will be a bright graduate or equivalent with proven experience working within a similar role, ideally in a financial or professional services firm and a track record of leading high impact, communications and digital marketing campaigns that have succeeded in communicating key messages to their target audience. The Communications & Digital Marketing Manager will be experienced in leading responses to sensitive issue and in working with media, directory researchers and external agencies to manage exposure and messaging. Proficient in the MS Office suite with a good working knowledge of social media channels, CRM systems and mailing and web platforms, the ideal candidate will have the ability to produce clear, concise, interesting copy and accurately edit and proof content and will be familiar with SEO and know how to optimise content to drive traffic.
