Commercial Management Accountant - Axon Moore Group Ltd : Job Details

The CompanyAxon Moore is partnering with a fast growing, professional services business in Central Manchester. Due to continued growth they require a commercially astute Management Accountant to join their exciting Finance team.Salary – Circa £45,000 + bonusLocation – Central ManchesterHybrid – 3 days in 2 working from home.Responsibilities will include:

• Full ownership of month-end close activities for the European entities.
• Lead and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls.
• Collaboration with local country directors and operational teams.
• Take ownership of budgeting and cost control processes.
• Collaborate with the wider finance team to identify missing items, chase and clear aged accruals & continuously improve the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis, financial modelling, and cross-border finance initiatives as required.
• Yearly audit deliverables.

Person Specification:

• ACCA/CIMA Finalist or Newly Qualified
• Broad experience of using standard accounting/ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, etc.
• Strong attention to detail – able to ensure accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
• Effective stakeholder engagement – confident in dealing with senior stakeholders, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Presentation skills – capable of summarising complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Commercial acumen – understands business drivers and can link financial performance to operational activity.
