Commercial Grounds Maintenance Operative - PG-GM Ltd : Job Details

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated grounds maintenance worker to join our small business.The ideal candidate will have solid experience in grounds maintenance, able to work independently as well as working closely with others. We are looking for a person who is both able to manage and take ownership of day to day duties, but also be flexible and able to help out with ad hoc tasks and projects that might come our way.

Our business works with grounds maintenance for mostly industrial sites and takes place on various locations around the region.

Duties

• Perform regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, strimming, general tidying and hedge trimming.
• Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
• Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs as necessary.
• Take on ad hoc tasks
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Employees must be able to arrange transport to the depot for 8am start.

Qualifications and skills

• Proven experience in grounds maintenance or groundskeeping is essential
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Proficient in using tools for landscaping tasks, including various power tools and machinery
• A keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of maintenance are met.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions.
• A clean driving licence is required

Preferred qualifications

• Pa1/Pa6
• Chainsaw certification
• Tractor operation skills
