Job Description :

We are working on an exclusive basis with a highly reputable client who is looking to appoint a strategic, results focused and commercially astute senior finance professional. This is a number 1 appointment in finance that offers clear career progression to become Finance Director in the future. Following an acquisition, the client is approaching an exciting time in its evolution as it looks to execute its strategic initiatives.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll be expected to proactively build strong relationships across the group, independently seeking out key stakeholders to understand the unique challenges and opportunities each business faces.

You will lead a team of finance business partners, who will provide dedicated commercial and financial support to each business unit within the group. This role goes beyond numbers — it involves delivering insightful analysis and commentary to ensure that every business is aligned with and progressing towards its strategic objectives.

Key duties include:

  • Reporting performance and insights to various stakeholders, including the board and Operations Directors, through presentations, traditional reporting and PowerBI.
  • Manage and support a team of 5, providing training and support to aid professional development.
  • Forecast and manage cashflows across the group.
  • Partner with operational departments to provide key insights into their performance and provide advice on future commercial opportunities to enhance business value, both from a divisional and group perspective. Independently establish strong cross-functional and external relationships to deepen business understanding.
  • Actively support brand presence and engagement during race days and other major events.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure accounts are closed in-line with month-end deadlines and ensure profit and loss performance is fully understood.
  • Key audit contact driving improvements to the existing control environment to reduce error and risk.

The successful candidate will be highly credible, with strong leadership and communication skills. They must demonstrate the ability to influence key stakeholders, identify commercial opportunities that enhance future investment decisions and profitability, and contribute effectively at board level. We seek an enthusiastic, hardworking, and commercially astute individual who thrives on managing change, driving process improvements, and making a significant impact on the company’s success. A proactive self-starter with robust project accounting experience and the ability to lead from the front is essential.

On offer is a relaxed working culture and environment, hybrid working and outstanding career progression.
