Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a reputable and successful global manufacturing business in Sheffield as they look to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager into the team. The role will act as a key business partner to both the UK and France entities so a candidate who can speak fluent French is essential for this role.The role will be responsible for managing 1 member of staff and this pivotal role will help drive the strategic financial decision-making and support commercial growth initiatives across the business. You will work closely with the commercial teams in the UK and France, providing financial insight, analysis, and guidance in order to optimise revenue, profitability, and operational efficiency.The company offers excellent benefits which include: -

Hours of work are: 8.30am -5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30-4.30pm on Fridays Duties will include: -

  • Leading commercial forecasting and the budgeting process
  • Supporting effective pricing decisions and controls
  • Commercial performance reporting
  • Ensure key variances (e.g., volume, price, mix, inflation) are clearly understood and provide value-added analysis to support performance improvement
  • Ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market dynamics Championing data-driven decision-making
  • Deliver strategic financial guidance and insights to Commercial, Product Management, and R&D teams to support growth and optimise commercial performance
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of core financial responsibilities, including period close, SOX compliance, statutory reporting, and year-end audit processes
  • Driving continuous improvement in financial processes to support sustainable business growth

To be successful you will have the following skills & experiences: - 

  • French speaking 
  • CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA Qualified (Qualified by Experience will also be considered) 
  • Good business partnering skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Good analytical and reporting skills, ability to deal with large data sets 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Staff management and good leadership skills 
  • Proficient in financial software and data mining tools (i.e Tableau/ Power BI) 
  • Make sense of complex, high quantity information in order to effectively solve problems
  • Continually looking to challenge and facilitate a continuous improvement culture.
  • Ability to travel to the other sites in the UK & France (France will be bi-monthly)
