Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Boiler Engineer to carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and repair works across various contracts. This mobile role requires a professional who can work independently, deliver high-quality workmanship, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair commercial boilers, combustion systems, and associated equipment.
- Work on low pressure, high pressure, power, steam, and hot water heating systems.
- Replace defective valves, filters, or gauges as required.
- Monitor boiler operations to ensure safety and efficiency, including periodic cleaning.
- Identify and address faults, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Attend planned maintenance visits and respond to reactive callouts, including participation in the out-of-hours rota.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, sub-contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Complete accurate and timely service reports and job documentation.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of combustion systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC plant, including A/C, boilers, controls, heating/cooling systems, and ventilation.
- Understanding of building services, Legionella awareness, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
