Location: London and the M25 Corridor

Salary: Competitive – dependent on skills and experience

Hours: 41.25 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Boiler Engineer to carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and repair works across various contracts. This mobile role requires a professional who can work independently, deliver high-quality workmanship, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and repair commercial boilers, combustion systems, and associated equipment.
  • Work on low pressure, high pressure, power, steam, and hot water heating systems.
  • Replace defective valves, filters, or gauges as required.
  • Monitor boiler operations to ensure safety and efficiency, including periodic cleaning.
  • Identify and address faults, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Attend planned maintenance visits and respond to reactive callouts, including participation in the out-of-hours rota.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, sub-contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Complete accurate and timely service reports and job documentation.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of combustion systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC plant, including A/C, boilers, controls, heating/cooling systems, and ventilation.
  • Understanding of building services, Legionella awareness, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
