Job Description :

We have a great opportunity to work with a well-established insurance company based in Ipswich who are looking for a Commercial Account Executive. Our client is a prominent commercial and corporate broker serving in London and East of England and pride themselves on the prestigious title of Chartered Insurance Broker.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Commercial Account Executive with the right experience, to join a reputable company with a clear progression ladder.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Successfully lead and manage a portfolio of existing client accounts in close collaboration with Client Executives.
  • Work closely with the Finance and Commercial Director to engage in new business activity and achieve new business targets in accordance with the business plan.
  • Carry out face-to-face client meetings with existing client accounts and new businesses to develop a strong understanding the clients' businesses, identify client demands and accurately identify gaps in cover and potential cross-sell/upselling opportunities.
  • Collate and provide Client Executives with comprehensive meeting minutes and risk information
  • Working in collaboration with Client Executives, deliver comprehensive and considered risk presentations to clients which meet identified demands and needs and address risk exposures
  • Be a well-known and respected figure in the operating area with a presence in appropriate networking organisation

Skill & Qualifications Required:

  • Experienced commercial broker with a deep understanding of the commercial insurance market and wide product knowledge across the full range of commercial insurance class
  • At least Cert CII qualified
  • A proven risk manager with a strong track record of identifying risks and proposing solutions
  • A proven leader who takes ownership and uses initiative
  • Strong influencer and negotiator who maintains excellent working relationships at all levels
  • Problem solver with a resourceful, collaborative and analytical approach
  • Competent user of Microsoft programmes, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fully conversant with and competent in all aspects of the FCA’s ICOBS rules
