Job Description :

e are currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Turner to join a dynamic and innovative engineering company based in Northumberland.

Salary: £38,500 annually

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and programme CNC machines (Fanuc / Mori Seiki wold be most advantageous)
  • Work with tight tolerances and interpret technical drawings.
  • Utilise a wide range of measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality in the machining process.
  • Complete all processes in accordance with Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform setting and operating duties within target times.
  • Read and edit existing CNC programmes to optimise output and quality.
  • Monitor tooling for wear, adjust offsets, or replace as necessary.
  • Ensure all inspection requirements are completed in line with Control Plan instructions.
  • Identify and report non-conforming components, following the relevant SOP.
  • Accurately complete all system transactions related to the job role.
  • Maintain and promote a high standard of housekeeping at all times.
  • Perform pre-shift and maintenance checks as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner, with expertise in setting and programming using Fanuc or Mori Seiki control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of working to tight tolerances and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of measuring equipment.
  • Familiarity with Risk Assessments, SOPs, and Control Plans.
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to make adjustments as necessary.
  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills.
