Based near Bedford we are working with a leading company in the design, development, and manufacture of innovative equipment used in a range of industries from automotive, aerospace, rail and more!

Due to increased business and continuous growth, they are now recruiting for a CNC Setter/Operator to join their machine shop team.The CNC Setter/Operator will be part of the machine shop team, producing parts and equipment for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Set the CNC Machine tools to program setting sheet.
• Work to drawings, tool lists and set up sheets to obtain accurate tooling.
• Operation of the CNC controls, using basic programming knowledge to produce parts.
• Carrying out quality checks
• Assembly work
• Work with the production team, assembly team, and management, suggesting improvements.

This is a summed-up list, and other responsibilities and duties will be required.

Skills & Experience required:

• Experience in a similar role, within an industrial/manufacturing environment
• CNC Turning and/or Milling experience
• Manual machinery experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to work to tight geometric tolerances
• Ability to work to engineering drawings and specs.
