As a CNC Operator, you'll play a crucial role in daily production: setting up and running CNC routing machinery to produce high precision components from materials such as metal, plastics, wood, and foam.
Key ResponsibilitiesSet up CNC routers and ancillary equipment (tooling, fixtures, chucks, feeds, speeds, offsets)
Load raw materials and conduct test runs to validate tolerances
Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency
Use measuring tools calipers, micrometers, gauges to inspect parts and complete quality check
Report any machine faults or quality deviations promptly to supervision
Adhere to safety procedures and clean, organised work practices at all times
Education: minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade qualifications a plus
Competence with precision measurement tools and inspection methods
Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Reliable, safety-conscious worker with good communication and teamwork mindset
Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts, especially during project peaks
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and nesting techniques
Experience with multi-axis flatbed routing systems
Certifications in quality inspection (e.g. ISO/QMS awareness, tool measuring)
