Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturer in Leicester to recruit a CNC Grinder. This is a permanent, full-time role offering structured training, career progression and a clear pay increase once full training is completed.
Salary and Benefits
- £17.80 per hour (inclusive of shift premium) increases after full training
- 37-hour contract across a three-shift rotation (mornings, afternoons, nights)
- 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service

The RoleAs CNC Grinder, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC grinding machines to meet production requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Running CNC grinding machines to meet production schedules
- Setting up machines and developing full machine-setting capability
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to align fixtures and tooling
- Inspecting components using manual gauges and CMM equipment
- Meeting output, quality and housekeeping targets set by the Cell Manager
- Following all company policies including Health and Safety, Code of Conduct and compliance standards
The PersonWe are looking for candidates with the following skills and attributes:
- Previous experience in CNC machining or CNC grinding is advantageous but not essential
- Background in aerospace manufacturing is desirable
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Confident in carrying out self-inspection using manual measuring equipment
- A proactive approach with a focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement
