Role: Cloud Security Architect
Benefits: £100,000 - £120,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced security professional with a passion for managing information security and designing architecture within a global organisation? Our client is currently on the lookout for a permanent cloud security architect who will be able to come in and make an impact from day one.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and oversee the security status of the cloud infrastructure, involving AWS, Azure, or other appropriate platforms.
- Conduct routine security evaluations and audits to pinpoint vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and any potential threats.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to establish and execute cloud security best practices and standards, serving as a secondary assurance function.
- Keep up with latest industry trends and developing threats in the area of cloud security.
- Conduct risk assessments and offer recommendations to bolster the cloud security viewpoint.
- Provide supplementary support in responding to security incidents, conducting root cause analyses, and monitoring the implementation of corrective measures.
- Assess and contribute to the ongoing development of documentation concerning cloud security policies, procedures, and incident response plans, including the delivery of management KPIs.
- Assist in creating and implementing security controls that align with regulatory requirements and business goals.
- Engage in continuous security training and contribute to the company's security awareness program.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on Information Security Experience, with a specific focus on cloud, preferably AWS and/or Azure.
- Hands on expertise in securing cloud environments, executing cloud risk assessments, and executing security controls.
- 10+ years of IT experience.
- Hold an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner designation.
- Possess the Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate qualification.
Desirables
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or demonstrate equivalent work experience).
- Substantial experience in cloud security, particularly within the Financial Services sector.
- Proficient in navigating cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- In-depth understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
- Familiarity with various security assessment tools and techniques.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse intricate technical issues.
- Solid communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Possess relevant certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent. Additionally, an AWS Certified Security Specialist designation is preferred.
