Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) - Baden / HybridWe're looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support a high-impact Azure migration programme for a major international energy trading organisation. You'll be joining a skilled cross-functional team responsible for ensuring the stability and scalability of hybrid cloud environments during a major multi-year transformation.

• Hybrid role - 50% onsite in Baden (Switzerland)

• English-speaking environment

• Azure / Infrastructure / Automation / Hybrid Cloud / DevOps / IaC

• 40h/week with on-call duties after ~2 months (1 week every 5-6 weeks)

• Contract from September 2025 until December 2026

• Operate and support hybrid environments spanning on-prem and Azure

• Design and implement infrastructure using Terraform or Jamml

• Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab, Octopus)

• Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI

• Implement and maintain Zero Trust security principles, Azure AD, and RBAC

• Support backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting workflows

• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams and 3rd-party suppliers

• Participate in an on-call rota after onboarding (~every 5-6 weeks)

• Strong experience with Azure Infrastructure (VMs, Networking, Storage, VPNs, ExpressRoute)

• Proven background in hybrid cloud operations and DevOps practices

• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred), scripting, and automation

• Familiar with Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and identity management

• Knowledge of Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and cloud storage performance tuning

• Excellent communicator - able to work cross-functionally and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Comfortable working independently in complex, enterprise-scale environments

• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
