The Role

The firm is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor with 0-4 years PQE to join its leading team in Leeds. This is an assisting role, supporting senior solicitors and partners on complex and high-value clinical negligence litigation. It offers an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or junior solicitor to gain hands-on experience and develop their expertise in a top-ranked, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking initial instructions from clients and assessing the viability of cases through early-stage research and document review.
  • Maintaining regular and clear communication with clients, counsel, medical experts, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the drafting of legal documents, correspondence, and court pleadings.
  • Ensuring clients are kept informed about all stages of the process, including costs, changes in fee estimates, and case progress.
  • Supporting senior lawyers with the day-to-day conduct and strategy of high-value litigation.
  • Attending team meetings, case conferences, and hearings as required.
  • Complying with the firm’s risk management and regulatory frameworks.
