Are you an experienced and passionate Clinical Negligence or Serious Injury Solicitor looking to be part of a supportive, growing firm with a genuine focus on work-life balance and professional development? We are working with a well-established, progressive law firm based in Rochdale to recruit a dedicated solicitor to join their respected Serious Injury and Clinical Negligence team.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years’ experience handling serious injury and/or medical negligence claims. You’ll manage a caseload of complex, high-value matters, whilst playing an active role in supporting the wider team and contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload of serious injury and clinical negligence cases

• Handle new client enquiries, take instructions and conduct initial screenings

• Liaise with hospitals, GP practices, defendant solicitors, Counsel, and medical experts

• Draft witness statements, limitation applications, and other key documentation

• Conduct thorough case investigations, including reviewing medical records and advising on merits and risks

• Accurately time-record and manage deadlines effectively

• Progress cases through to settlement in a timely, proactive manner

• Provide strategic advice and high levels of client care throughout

• Contribute to the leadership, motivation and ongoing development of the team

• Work alongside Partners on departmental strategy and objectives

• Opportunity for progression to Head of Department for the right candidate

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience

• Proven track record of handling serious injury and/or clinical negligence matters to a successful conclusion

• Strong technical knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and procedure

• Excellent organisational, communication and analytical skills

• Confident in client care and able to deliver a highly professional, compassionate service

• IT proficient, with experience using Proclaim or similar case management systems

• Proactive, commercially aware, and motivated to develop both the team and your own career
