You will lead the development and delivery of clinical education, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based training for nursing and healthcare staff. Driving workforce capability, professional development, and retention through innovative education initiatives, supporting both pre- and post-registration pathways.
Working 37.5 hours a week you will develop and implement a clinical education strategy that supports professional growth from entry level roles to senior leadership positions.

As the Clinical Education Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Workforce Development: Overseeing pre-registration nursing education, ensuring alignment with NMC standards and enhancing clinical placement quality.
- Retention & Progression: Implementing initiatives to support newly qualified nurses and internationally educated staff, reducing attrition and fostering career progression.
- Education Pathways: In collaboration with the Head of Learning & Development, design and deliver structured training programs for Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), Nursing Associates, and Advanced Clinical Practice roles.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensuring all training aligns with regulatory requirements, evaluating education effectiveness through data-driven insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partnering with internal and external bodies to secure funding, develop new learning opportunities, and advocate for nursing education.
- Clinical Credibility: Maintaining hands-on clinical presence, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure education is rooted in practical expertise.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have proven experience in developing and implementing nursing education programs.
- Have strong track record in workforce development and clinical competency assurance.
- Have experience in managing external partnerships (HEIs, NHS England, etc.)
- Have expertise in clinical education, training design, and competency assessment.
- Have strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
- Be able to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
- Have excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Be a registered clinical professional
- Be up to date knowledge of current regulatory frameworks for pre- and post-registration training
