KCR are working with this reputable firm of accounts based in the Darlington area in their search for an experienced and client-focused Senior Client Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing client relationships within a practice environment, possessing strong leadership skills to oversee a team and ensure exceptional service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the wider team to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial reports, corporate tax returns, personal tax returns, and other documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, nurturing and strengthening relationships.
  • Understand client needs, goals, and challenges to offer tailored financial solutions and advice.
  • Maintain regular communication to provide updates on financial matters and address client enquiries promptly.
  • Lead and manage a team including junior staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and training.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring client deliverables are met with high quality and within specified timelines.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, encouraging team growth and development.
  • Offer strategic financial advice, including corporate and personal tax planning, budgeting, and forecasting, to assist client financial performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, advising clients accordingly.
  • Collaborate on practice development to identify opportunities for business growth and expansion.
  • Contribute to the practice development, including reviewing new software to ensure continued improvement both internal systems, processes and client engagement.

Essential Skills

  • Relevant qualification such as ACCA, ACA or qualified by experience.
  • Minimum five years’ experience of working in an Accountancy Practice
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to deal with people at all levels.
  • Be willing to learn and develop your skills and experience.
  • Have good organisational skills that can be applied in a busy office environment.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
