Gleeson Recruitment Group

Job Location : Coventry, UK

Posted on : 24/07/2025 - Valid Till : 04/09/2025

Job Description :

Are you experienced in running payrolls for multiple clients at once? Do you come from a payroll bureau or practice background where managing deadlines, juggling varied client needs, and providing a first-class service is second nature?

If so, this Client Payroll Executive role in Coventry could be just what you're looking for.

This established, people-focused business is adding to its payroll team and is looking for someone who enjoys client contact, thrives under pressure, and wants to work in a genuinely collaborative environment. The payroll team has a brilliant reputation internally - they support each other, share knowledge, and keep things positive and light-hearted while delivering excellent service.

The Role:

You'll manage your own group of client payrolls from start to finish, with plenty of variety day-to-day. Key duties include:

  • Taking ownership of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a range of clients
  • Setting up new payrolls and handling PAYE registrations
  • Processing everything from statutory payments and pensions to bonuses, commissions, and salary adjustments
  • Uploading pension files, submitting returns, and preparing benefit-in-kind reports (P11Ds)
  • Completing year-end tasks such as P60s and reconciliations
  • Handling RTI submissions and resolving any HMRC discrepancies
  • Offering practical advice to clients around payroll queries, benefit schemes, and PSA arrangements
  • Providing a reliable, approachable point of contact for clients and their staff

This isn't a back-office processing role - you'll be client-facing and hands-on, with plenty of autonomy over your own work.

Who We're Looking For:
  • Someone with previous experience running multiple payrolls, ideally from a payroll bureau or practice environment
  • Confident knowledge of UK payroll compliance and legislation
  • A strong communicator who enjoys building relationships with clients
  • Great organisational skills - able to handle shifting priorities without letting quality slip
  • Experience with STAR or cloud-based systems is a bonus, but not essential
What You'll Get in Return:
  • A fun and friendly payroll team who work closely together
  • Clear opportunity to step up and grow with the business
  • Exposure to a wide range of client industries, including UK and overseas businesses
  • Hybrid working options for better work-life balance
  • A supportive environment that values development and contribution

If you're ready to bring your bureau or practice experience into a business that values your input and supports your growth, apply now - we'd love to hear from you.
