Client Onboarding Manager - Jersey - Jameson Legal : Job Details

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in client onboarding, compliance, and leadership to play a key role in optimising processes, developing talent, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading, managing, and developing the client take-on team to ensure high-quality service and regulatory compliance.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members to build capability and confidence.
• Overseeing client onboarding, ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-compliant completion.
• Managing ongoing client screening and acting as the primary liaison with the Compliance team on AML risks and escalations.
• Monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring onboarding procedures remain aligned with current legal and compliance standards.
• Reviewing and refining onboarding processes to improve efficiency, in collaboration with Compliance.
• Delivering training and promoting a risk-based, best-practice approach across the team.
• Supporting the Head of Risk and contributing to wider compliance and operational initiatives as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

• ICA or other relevant compliance qualification (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of AML frameworks and local regulatory requirements.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within legal or professional services.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Solid technical understanding of client due diligence and onboarding processes.
• Strong IT skills, with experience in onboarding and risk systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities under pressure.
• Proactive, solutions-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Confident in delegating, managing workflows, and ensuring accountability.
