The Role

We are looking for a capable and motivated Accounts Manager to join our clients business services team. You will be working on a broad range of accounts and tax assignments, managing your own client portfolio while being mentored by senior staff.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused role and keen to continue progressing toward qualification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Drafting and submitting Corporation Tax and Personal Tax returns
  • Producing management accounts and variance analysis for key clients
  • Assisting with bookkeeping reviews and software migrations (primarily Xero and QuickBooks)
  • Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and build strong relationships
  • Collaborating with the wider team to deliver end-to-end accounting and tax services
  • Supporting junior team members and reviewing their work where appropriate
  • Ensuring Companies House and HMRC deadlines are tracked and met efficiently
  • ACA or ACCA experienced with at least 3 years’ experience in practice
  • Solid understanding of FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial matters clearly to clients
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach and strong organisational skills
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to team development
  • £35,000 salary (depending on experience)
