Classroom Supervisor

We are seeking Classroom Supervisors to join our team, offering a flexible schedule where you can dictate the hours you want to work. This role is crucial in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring that students remain focused on their tasks. The ideal candidate will be confident, possess a strong classroom presence, and have the academic knowledge necessary to adapt quickly to different classroom settings.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, maintaining a conducive learning environment.
• Provide clear instructions to students and oversee their progress, ensuring they stay on task with the work set.
• Utilise initiative to support teaching and learning throughout the school.
• Manage behaviour effectively and ensure a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Work independently in classrooms with students from year 7 through to year 11.
• Adapt to varying academic subjects and year groups, providing consistent supervision.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and the ability to command attention.
• Strong initiative and responsibility to handle classroom situations.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage the day’s tasks and responsibilities.
• Proficient communication and literacy skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
• Efficient IT and administrative skills to utilise school systems and manage any required paperwork.
