Class Teacher - Reed : Job Details

A successful and growing SEN school in the Billingshurst, West Sussex area are recruiting on a permanent basis for an SEN Class Teacher.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity to start from either May half term or September 2024

They are able to accommodate either a Primary Teacher or Secondary school background Teacher and are flexible on year group or subject specialism.

The school are also open to applicants from mainstream education who are wanting to specialise in the special educational needs sector. 

Due to the very rural location of this school, you will need to be a driver with access to a vehicle.

The successful teacher will be expected to develop schemes of work and plan lessons in line with national objectives. Encourage, monitor, and record the progress of individual pupils and devise and adapt resources to suit individual needs. To progress all students towards accreditation at appropriate levels, providing continuous assessment, reporting and recording.

Furthermore, you will be expected to promote the safety and well-being of the children and young people. Keep up to date with developments in curriculum subject areas, new resources and teaching methods.

This school provides highly effective education, therapy, welfare and support for children aged from 9-16 years who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties as well as other complex learning needs often associated with autistic spectrum conditions and ADHD.
