Reed have partnered with a growing loss adjusting firm supporting with the hire of a Claims Team Leader in Central Bristol, offering either hybrid working.
It is essential that you have previous leadership and insurance, claims or loss adjusting experience due to the nature of the role, managing a team of desk-based loss adjusters.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the team, maintaining high standards of service delivery, and promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Duties:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 10-15 desk-based loss adjusters
Conduct regular team meetings and one-to-one sessions to monitor performance and provide feedback
Identify training and development needs within the team and organise appropriate training sessions
Ensure the team meets or exceeds performance targets and service level agreements
Monitor and manage workflow to ensure timely and accurate handling of claims
Implement and maintain efficient processes and procedures to enhance team performance
Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring excellent customer service and addressing any issues or concerns promptly
Oversee the preparation and submission of reports to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements
Conduct regular quality checks on team outputs to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives as necessary
Ensure the team adheres to all regulatory and legal requirements, as well as company policies and procedures
Manage risks associated with claims processing and report any significant issues to senior management
Prepare regular performance reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement
Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the team’s operations
Requirements:
Proven experience in a team leader or supervisory role within the loss adjusting or insurance sector
Strong understanding of loss adjusting processes, claims management, and industry regulations
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders
