My client, an innovative, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their diverse team of engineering and design specialists, near the lively, richly-cultural city of Liverpool.
Essential Criteria:
- An Initial or Higher Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or similar relevant discipline
- A specific interest in flood risk and drainage
- Demonstrable experience of having worked in a design-based role within a consultancy
- Experience of working with flood risk and drainage strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
- Good working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S38, S104, S106, etc.)
- Competent in the use of Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and a range of similar software packages
- The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to have the following:
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing
- An analytical mindset
- Strong technical skills

- Undertaking technical analysis using a range of software packages
- Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models
- Liaising with a range of stakeholders across the public and private sectors
- Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
- Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relations
- Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
