Job Description :

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Safeguarding Team Manager to join our Bury team on a temporary basis, offering a competitive rate of £46 per hour (Umbrella). In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team of social workers, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within the community. Your leadership will be crucial in driving best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards of safeguarding. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Family Safeguarding Team.
  • Providing supervision, support, and guidance to social work staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Developing and implementing effective safeguarding strategies.
  • Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
  • Managing complex casework and contributing to multi-agency meetings.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Proven leadership and management skills within a social work setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
