Childrens Social Worker Fostering/CIC - Reed : Job Details

Our client, Wigan Council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Fostering/CIC Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

• You will manage a caseload of children who are in care, which includes those in foster care, residential settings, or other care arrangements.
• You will develop and review care plans in line with statutory requirements, ensuring the child's needs are met and their voice is heard.
• You will build and maintain positive relationships with foster carers, providing support, guidance, and monitoring their work.
• You will ensure safe, stable, and appropriate placements for children, including support for transitions and pathway planning.
• You will undertake statutory visits to children in care, write reports for reviews, and attend meetings and court as needed.
• You will ensure the safety and well-being of children in their care, reporting any concerns of abuse or neglect and taking appropriate action.

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
