Our client, Wigan Council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Fostering/CIC Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
- You will manage a caseload of children who are in care, which includes those in foster care, residential settings, or other care arrangements.
- You will develop and review care plans in line with statutory requirements, ensuring the child's needs are met and their voice is heard.
- You will build and maintain positive relationships with foster carers, providing support, guidance, and monitoring their work.
- You will ensure safe, stable, and appropriate placements for children, including support for transitions and pathway planning.
- You will undertake statutory visits to children in care, write reports for reviews, and attend meetings and court as needed.
- You will ensure the safety and well-being of children in their care, reporting any concerns of abuse or neglect and taking appropriate action.
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
