Children’s Social Worker- MASH Team - Reed : Job Details

Our client, Oldham Council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their MASH Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Receiving and processing referrals from various sources, including professionals and members of the public, regarding concerns about child protection or safeguarding.
• Conducting initial assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks and needs, often utilizing MASH Intelligence Checks with partner agencies.
• Determining the appropriate level of intervention and service provision, considering statutory needs and the urgency of the situation.
• Working with other agencies and professionals to share information, coordinate services, and ensure a cohesive approach to safeguarding.
• Providing written feedback to the referrer on the outcome of enquiries and recording this on the referral form.
• Engaging with families and providing support and guidance to help them navigate the process and address their needs.
• Ensuring that all actions are in line with child protection procedures and escalating concerns when necessary.

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
