Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for experienced and committed Qualified Social Workers to join the Children's Safeguarding Service at Liverpool City Council. This is an exciting opportunity for social workers with strong court experience and a solid track record in child protection and safeguarding to be part of a forward-thinking, supportive local authority.

?? Contract Type: Locum - Full Time (35 hours/week)?? Pay Rate: Up to £44.21/hour Umbrella (DOE)?? Working Pattern:Hybrid - minimum 3 days/week in Liverpool

You'll work within a stable, permanent team with access to:

• Access to specialist legal and court support for complex safeguarding and proceedings work

? Key Responsibilities:

• Hold a manageable caseload of children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings, and Court Proceedings
• Complete robust assessments and formulate child-centred plans using evidence-based practice
• Represent the local authority in care proceedings, including writing statements and giving evidence
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including police, health, and education
• Attend case conferences, legal planning meetings, and reviews
• Champion best safeguarding practice across your team and contribute to service development

?? Essential Criteria:

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised social work degree or equivalent
• Social Work England registered
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualifying experience in children's services
• Proven expertise in court work, including writing statements and attending hearings
• Sound knowledge of Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and related legislation
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
