Support or Senior Support Worker - Childrens Home - Female Applicants only
Location: WalsallShift Pattern: All 7 days a week available - Day and Night shifts available Availability: Across all 7 days (flexible rota to be discussed)Rate of Pay: £13.68 - £15.50
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate female carers to provide 3 to 1 support for young patients with physical and emotional challenges. This is a rewarding role that requires a calm, attentive, and empathetic individual who can offer both physical and emotional support in a stable environment.
Key responsibilites:
Provide day-to-day support to children and young people, helping them with daily routines, including meals, personal care, and recreational activities.
Promote the emotional, physical, and social development of each child in line with their individual care plans.
Build trusting relationships with the children through consistent, compassionate, and professional interactions.
Encourage and support education, hobbies, and personal goals by working closely with schools, therapists, and other professionals.
Act as a positive role model by demonstrating healthy, respectful behavior.
Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and care delivery in line with safeguarding and data protection policies.
Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and supervision.
Assist in household tasks including cooking, cleaning, and laundry, while involving the children where appropriate to develop their life skills.
Support children in managing emotions and behaviors, using approved de-escalation techniques and restorative approaches.
Adhere to all relevant safeguarding procedures and report concerns immediately in line with policy.
