Job Description :
  • Annual Salary: £42k - £51k
  • Location: Wirral
  • Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager for a Children’s Home, who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and has experience in managing a home with a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children’s residential care and possess the necessary qualifications and experience to lead a team effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards.
  • Lead and manage the staff team to ensure the provision of high-quality care and support for the children.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that reflect current legislation and best practice.
  • Ensure that the home provides a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for the children.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, maintaining the financial viability of the home.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies, including local authorities and healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, supervisions, and appraisals, promoting professional development within the team.
  • Prepare for and participate in Ofsted inspections, striving to achieve and maintain high ratings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification.
  • Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in children’s residential care.
  • Proven experience with Ofsted in running a home graded ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.
  • Must hold a full UK driver’s license.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A commitment to the welfare and development of children and young people.
