Receptionist/Administrator

  • Hourly rate: £12.60 per hour PAYE
  • Location: Sheffield, S10 and various sites in Sheffield
  • Job Type: Interim – Full time hours

Join a dedicated team at a renowned charity in Sheffield. We are seeking a compassionate and professional Receptionist/Administrator to manage their front of house operations, providing a warm welcome and essential support to their visitors.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Greeting Visitors:
    • Welcome visitors with a friendly smile and provide a warm introduction to the centre.
    • Answer questions and direct visitors to the appropriate areas within the facility.
    • Support at some of the events when required and be a front facing presence to the public
  • Administrative Support:
    • Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries from visitors.
    • Assist with appointment scheduling and maintain accurate records.
    • Manage visitor sign-in and sign-out processes.
  • Information Dissemination:
    • Provide information about our services, programs, and resources.
    • Explain the centre’s offerings and guide visitors to relevant materials.
  • Maintaining a Welcoming Environment:
    • Keep the reception area tidy and organised.
    • Ensure that visitors feel comfortable and cared for during their time at the centre.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other staff members to coordinate services and support.
    • Communicate effectively with clinical teams and other departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated empathy and compassion, particularly in sensitive situations.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Professional demeanour, maintaining a positive and professional presence at all times.
  • Adaptability to meet the changing needs of visitors and the centre.
  • Basic IT skills for managing appointments and records.
  • Have a driving licence and access to a vehicle when required
