Job Location : Bridgend, UK
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and associated challenging behaviours.
De-escalate incidents effectively and apply school-approved behaviour management strategies, including use of Team Teach or similar interventions (training can be provided).
Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs), behaviour plans, and risk assessments.
Foster a safe, nurturing and structured environment that encourages positive learning experiences.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents/carers to provide a consistent and collaborative approach to pupil support.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, progress, and support provided.
Support with personal care and mobility needs where necessary (training provided if applicable).
Essential:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or behavioural challenges.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond constructively to challenging behaviour.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
