With the US as the core growth market and strong backing from a leading mid-market US-based private equity firm, the business is expanding rapidly, both organically and through targeted M&A activity. The next stage of their journey requires a commercially astute, growth-minded CFO to help scale with pace and precision.

What will the CFO role involve?

As CFO, you will be a central member of the executive leadership team, responsible not only for top-tier financial stewardship but also for shaping and executing the strategic growth agenda. You will lead financial planning, oversee investor reporting, and play a key role in evaluating and integrating acquisitions.

This is a hands-on, strategically critical role and ideal for a CFO who thrives in fast-paced, private equity-backed scaling environments and who can bridge the UK headquarters with the predominantly US commercial operations

• Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CEO and Board to define and execute growth strategy, with a sharp focus on accelerating the international footprint
• Financial Management: Own the end-to-end finance function, from FP&A and cashflow forecasting to robust financial controls and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Private Equity Engagement: Serve as the primary finance liaison with US based PE backers, ensuring transparent, data-driven investor relations and value creation tracking
• M&A Execution: Lead financial due diligence, valuation modelling, and post-merger integration for strategic acquisitions internationally
• Scalability & Process Optimisation: Implement finance systems and processes that enable operational efficiency without slowing the pace of innovation
• Commercial Insight: Provide real time, forward looking financial insights to support decision making, product investment, and go-to-market optimisation

Suitable Candidate for the CFO vacancy:

We welcome candidates with proven success as a CFO or senior finance leader in a high-growth technology or SaaS/ cyber security business (scale-up or mid-cap).

• Track record in private equity backed companies, ideally with US investor relations exposure
• M&A experience
• Strong understanding of US commercial operations and cross-border tax/regulatory considerations
• Ability to balance operational detail with strategic foresight in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
• Qualified ACA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent
• Experience with IP-rich product businesses and subscription/SaaS revenue models
• Familiarity with UK/US accounting standards (IFRS / US GAAP)
