CEO Office Business Management About the jobThis role is part of the Corporate Governance and Executive Office function, which supports the bank and its senior management, and Board. This role is within the Executive office which primarily works with the CEO to deliver strategic change / business planning, Bank optimisation projects and overall project management on cross function initiatives. In addition, the function has core "day to day" responsibilities including, but not limited to business management for CEO, stakeholder relationship management (e.g. shareholders, rating agencies) and culture/communications. The team's Governance responsibilities supports the Board and the Executive Committee to ensure compliance with relevant requirements. The team has separate responsibilities but work closely together. What you'll be doingThe CEO Office Business Manager reports to the Head of Corporate Governance and Executive Office and supports the CEO and broader leadership team in achieving the Bank's strategic objectives, through both business management and strategic activity. This role provides strategic, operational, and executive-level support to the CEO and broader leadership team, ensuring alignment between business priorities, governance, and execution. This role acts as a central coordination point for high-impact initiatives, communications, and cross-functional collaboration.   • Lead and support business planning cycles, performance tracking, and reporting, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives
  • Production and delivery of formal top-quality presentations for Board meetings, Shareholder meetings, Senior Management meetings, Strategy sessions and other such forums
  • General support to CEO and broader Exco
  • Support to CEO Office on regulatory requirements (e.g. compliance with SMCR)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of working in a highly-regulated environment, ideally Financial Services
  • Experience and confidence with working with senior management ideally with CEO and C-suite level executives
  • Good understanding of Front to Back Banking operations and risk and control
  • Highly proficient in MS office, particularly PowerPoint / Word and operating within brand guidelines
Strategic initiatives
  • Drive and monitor strategic projects, ensuring risks are managed and milestones are met across functions
  • Formulation, execution and communication of Bank Strategy and performance
  • Where appropriate, identify and execute ad hoc projects or process simplification
  • Partner with other departments to deliver strategic bank initiatives
  • Ad hoc research projects on behalf of the CEO
  • Working with Finance on the Budget process
  • Conduct annual strategy review and work with Global Markets to translate into business plans
Project Management
  • Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership to manage priorities, track strategic initiatives, and ensure timely delivery of key outcomes
  • Analysis and due diligence of Corporate Projects
Investor Relations
  • Primary contact with Credit Rating agencies
  • Management of ICBCstandard.com website content
  • Drafting of the Strategic Report commentary within the AFS
Governance
  • Preparing corporate reporting on behalf of the CEO
  • Maintaining the integrity of the Banks Frameworks and Policies
  • Supporting the alignment to ICBC policies/governance
Communications
  • Ownership of internal bank-wide communications
  • Planning and facilitation of Town Hall and other adhoc staff events
Culture
  • Support to the CEO/Board on setting and executing the Culture agenda in line with regulatory expectations
  • Day to day management of the Culture processes (working group meetings, Exco/Board reporting, dashboard, framework drafting)
