About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Catering Manager. In this vital role, you will oversee the daily running of the school kitchen, ensuring the delivery of nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school kitchen, ensuring smooth service and high standards.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of catering staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Plan and prepare balanced, nutritious meals that meet dietary and allergen requirements.
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in line with current regulations.
- Conduct regular stock takes and manage orders through the online portal.
- Liaise with school staff and students to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Report to and collaborate with the Area Manager to meet performance targets and service expectations.
Key Requirements
- This role is subject to an EnhancedDBS Check
- Proven experience in a similar catering management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy kitchen environment.
