Role: Catering Assistant
Start Date: Week commencing 8th SeptemberContract Length: 2 monthsLocation: IpswichHours: 5 days per week (37.5 hours per week)
- Monday to Friday Early shift: 7am - 3pm / Late shift: 11am - 8pm
- Weekend shifts also available – ideal if you prefer midweek days off
We are currently recruiting two Catering Assistants to support food service operations during a busy period. This is a great opportunity to work in a friendly and fast-paced environment where teamwork and attention to detail are key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of food
- Ensure buffet and salad bar items are replenished and well-stocked
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in food service areas
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep and organisation
- Monitor food temperatures and storage conditions
- Wash and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety and health regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS required
- A current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is ideal
- If needed, we can process a new DBS for you
- Previous catering or food service experience is beneficial but not essential
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and customer-focused attitude
