Are you a Category Manager with experience in solar, membranes, roofing ventilation, or flat roofing products?

We’re working with a leading construction supplier that distributes roofing materials worldwide. They’re now looking for a Category Manager to join their team in York or Doncaster.

You’ll be responsible for managing a group of product categories, ensuring they hit financial targets and meet customer needs across the company’s branch network.

• Take ownership of sales and profit margins for your product categories
• Build and maintain a clear plan to improve margins
• Prepare budgets and forecasts
• Recommend changes to suppliers, product ranges, and regional availability
• Be the main contact for suppliers
• Ensure compliance with supplier agreements
• Keep customer offers and pricing consistent across branches

• Your categories hit their sales, margin, and working capital targets
• Rebate forecasts are accurate
• You’re always finding ways to boost category performance

• Strong with numbers and data analysis
• Confident using Excel and PowerPoint
• Good knowledge of the roofing products market
• Great communication and listening skills
• Skilled negotiator who can adapt to different situations
