Category Manager Home & Furniture - Quest Search and Selection Ltd : Job Details

Quest Search and Selection is currently looking for Category Home & Furniture to manage categories such as Furniture, Home Decor, SDA/MDA, Home Textiles, Storage solution etc. Responsible for cultivating and managing supplier partnerships to secure high-quality, in-demand products.

The business is for a retail e-commerce platform with operations in the UK & Europe, who is currently growing their Home category team! Their advanced technology offers fast and reliable delivery services, within hours or by the next day. With 1st class, supply chain at its core & cutting-edge digital solutions, this business is renowned for its innovation and excellence, all within a start-up culture.

The roles & responsibilities of this Category Manager Home & Furniture role:

• Oversaw end-to-end purchasing and sales operations for the Home & Living category.
• Accountable for driving Gross Profit Margin and Gross Merchandise Value; proactively managed inventory to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Design and implement pricing models and promotional strategies to maximise category performance.
• Partner with global supply chain teams to secure timely resource allocation and operational support
• Leveraged data insights to identify category trends and improve profit margins.
• Select and develop a relevant product mix aligned with customer needs and lifestyle preferences.
• Source and onboard new partners, negotiate commercial terms and pricing efficiencies, validated cost structures, and ensured accurate data entry.

The qualifications of this Category Manager Home & Furniture Role:

• Ideally having 4 -9 years (depending on level) of experience in Category Management or Buying experience
• Experience within one of more of the Home & Living, Toys, Furniture, Outdoor , Home Accessories, Furnishing etc categories specifically in the European Retail and eCommerce markets.
• We are looking for multiple levels so happy to consider management, senior or head of level.
• Strong negotiation skills that consistently deliver top-tier product margins and compelling customer offers.
• Exceptional communication and analytical thinking.
• Quick to learn and adapt, with a commercially driven mindset.
