Category Manager | Food & Beverage categories | Hybrid working | Travel Retail

Zachary Daniels is currently recruiting for a Category Manager on Food and Beverage categories for a role that encompasses product innovation in the category as well as all aspects of category management across sourcing, marketing and supply chain, with a global remit in Travel Retail.

We are looking to speak with candidates with a proven track record in buying or category management on food/drink categories gained from working for retail, FMCG or food service business who would like to try their hand at something different and challenging yet using their retail principals to visibly deliver great results.

What does this Category Manager role involve?

The Category Manager will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and end to end management for seasonal, fresh and ambient food and beverage ranges. As part of a dynamic team, you will be proactive in creating ranges, tailoring solutions to the customer and given the autonomy and freedom to do so.

Key responsibilities:

• Strategic sourcing and category management for specific categories within the range
• Build and deliver a strategy for your categories to optimize category growth
• Develop robust relationships with suppliers and brands to maintain a strong commercial focus and ensuring that operating terms are delivered.
• Manage the end-to-end functions of the range plan; from sourcing to contracting and all supporting processes.
• Define and deliver Promotional strategy

About You

• Evidence of a similar role in a Retail or Foodservice Category/Buying role
• Experience in an FMCG environment would be beneficial
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to deliver in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• A passion for product, balanced with understanding the need for commercial acumen
