Catastrophic Injury Lawyer - Sacco Mann : Job Details

A national defendant law firm is seeking a skilled Catastrophic Injury Lawyer to join its market-leading team in Bolton, representing top-tier insurer clients in complex and life-changing personal injury matters. This is an excellent opportunity to handle high-profile defence litigation and shape the strategy on claims involving serious injury, fatalities, and multi-million-pound losses.

As a Catastrophic Injury Lawyer, you will take ownership of cases involving:

• Traumatic brain injuries
• Spinal cord injuries
• Amputations
• Serious orthopaedic and brachial plexus injuries
• Complex liability and indemnity issues

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage or assist on a caseload of complex/catastrophic injury defence claims.
• Analyse liability, indemnity, and quantum with a forensic level of detail.
• Draft strategic and technical advice for insurer clients.
• Attend court hearings, CMCs, and settlement discussions.
• Collaborate with experts, counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior lawyers within the team.

About you:

• A Qualified Solicitor or CILEX (typically 3-4 years PQE).
• Experience handling or assisting on catastrophic or large loss injury claims.
• Strong understanding of personal injury litigation and court procedures.
• Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills.
• Defendant experience preferred, but strong claimant-side lawyers will also be considered.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
