Casework Coordinator: Domestic Abuse LOCATION: South Somerset/Sedgemoor HOURS: 37.5 – Mon – Fri SALARY: £13.62 PAYE - £16.12 Umbrella DURATION: 6 weeks +START DATE: ASAPAre you ready to make a real difference in people's lives? An opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and dedicated Casework Coordinator to join our team and support individuals affected by domestic abuse.
- Provide vital support and guidance to individuals experiencing domestic abuse, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that comprehensive, holistic support is provided to service users.
- Contribute to the development of innovative strategies and interventions to support the diverse needs of individuals impacted by domestic abuse.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working in a casework or support role, ideally within a domestic abuse setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding principles and risk assessment processes.
- Support new tenants with sign ups.
- Minimise void times for vacant rooms, ensuring they’re ready to be re-let.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of work.
Preferred Requirements:
- Knowledge of local and national resources available to support individuals affected by domestic abuse.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related field.
- Training or certification in domestic abuse awareness and advocacy.
- Valid driving license and access to own transport.
