Debt Caseworker, full time and part time considered, multiple hire

- Salary: £27,235 - £29,833 per annum, depending on experience + 3% pension contribution

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Work with Clients
- Provide comprehensive advice and casework on a range of debt issues, both face-to-face and via telephone.
- Ensure prompt, professional service delivery to meet client expectations and project targets.
- Act on behalf of clients by calculating, negotiating, and managing debts, including advising on legal remedies such as debt relief orders and bankruptcy.
- Assist clients in prioritising debts and negotiating realistic repayment plans with creditors.
- Support clients in liaising with housing, welfare, benefits, and justice agencies, aiding in budget management and income maximisation.
- Facilitate client understanding of legal obligations and encourage feedback to enhance service quality.
Networking/Partnership
- Collaborate effectively with partner agencies.
- Promote our services to local stakeholders including housing, justice, and social welfare agencies.
- Engage in local forums, contributing knowledge and ideas.
Administration
- Maintain precise electronic case records for casework continuity, statistical monitoring, and reporting.
- Manage workload proactively, ensuring compliance with Financial Conduct Authority standards and the Advice Quality Standard.
Professional Development
- Stay updated with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to money advice.
- Participate in training and meetings as required to enhance professional growth.
General
- Uphold the organisation's principles and comply with all policies, particularly regarding Health and Safety, Risk Management, and Equal Opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as needed to ensure the effective delivery and development of the service.
