Carpenter - Multi trader

(Commercial and Industrial experience required)

£35k to £48k p.a plus van and fuel card after temping period, dependent upon experience and qualifications, and after 4 week temping performance.

£200 - £220per day initially for 4 weeks approximately Temping followed by a Permanent contract of employment for the successful candidate.

07:30 to 16:00 daily

Reed Recruitment (Southampton branch ) are recruiting for our client based in Newbury that provides construction services, facilities management and project management. This role is ultimately a permanent position, but with approximately a 4 week temping trial period. The trial period can be paid as self employed via UTR, and then the position will become a PAYE salaried permanent role.

About the role...

Focusing mainly on their commercial and industrial projects (no residential), Carpentry will be your primary skill. Other skills include working with the wider team in general builder format (excludes electrical and plumbing). During your temping period you will need use of your own van and tools but fuel for travel to sites will be paid for. Once permanent, a van and fuel card can be provided. You will be working in industrial and commercial occupied buildings, offices and warehouses, and working jobs released on a PDA.

Weekend working may be required from time to time (includes Sat and Sun) - Saturdays paid at time and a half, Sundays paid at double time.

21 days holiday/No sick pay as standard - sick pay based on case by case

Must be willing to travel, stay away from home occasionally which the company will pay for.

Works generally Home Counties.

About you...

Experienced Carpenter with a minimum of NVQ2 in carpentry

Able to turn your hand to other trade disciplines and assist the wider team (excludes electrical & plumbing)

Advantageous tickets include CSCS SSSTS, IPAF, PASMA, First Aid at Work, but this company will upskill you and get you accredited once permanent if you do not hold everything.

Own tools and transport for temping stage.
